I have compiled a list of supplements that are a must for any lifter or athlete.
Protein: Protein is a must for any athlete or bodybuilder. The highest quality of protein available is Whey Protein. Whey Protein provides the body with the necessary building blocks to produce amino acids that are used for building muscle tissue. Regular supplementing of protein will help you recover quicker and help your muscles grow quicker. With dieting and those wishing to lose some extra fat, whey protein can be very useful because a good intake of protein balances blood sugar levels, while carbohydrates cause blood sugar levels to fluctuate. When the blood sugar levels stay balanced, one is not as prone to rampant eating and has more energy and greater fat loss. A suggestion is supplementing 2 whey protein shakes, 1 before a workout with carbohydrates, one after a workout, and one protein shake on non workout days.

Creatine Monohydrate: Creatine is currently the most effective and popular supplement on the market. Our bodies naturally make creatine. It is produced in the liver, pancreas, and kidneys, and is transported to the body's muscles through the bloodstream. Once it reaches the muscles, it is converted into phosphocreatine (creatine phosphate). This high-powered metabolite is used to regenerate the muscles' ultimate energy source, ATP (adenosine triphosphate). Creatine is 100% natural and is also found in foods such as fish and red meat. Creatine can significantly increase lean muscle mass in just two weeks. It is also responsible for improving performance in high-intensity exercise, increasing energy levels, and speeding up recovery rates. There is no reason not to use creatine!

Multivitamins: Multivitamin and mineral supplements are perhaps the most important single supplement that can be consumed by bodybuilders and athletes. For the human body to perform at its maximum potential, it must be fed a vast and complex array of vital nutrients. Many people don't take multivitamins because it won't put on 10 pounds of weight. That is true, but lets put it this way, to workout at a full potential multivitamins are essential and without them you would be working out at a percentage of your performance. Multivitamins can help you from getting sick and overall a more healthier person. Multivitamins are a must!
